ABSTRACT This study compared perceived social support from two groups of boys between 14 and 18 of the city of Linares (Chile): 53 offenders and 53 non-offenders, who were matched on several demographic variables to make them equivalent. The questionnaire included questions about network size, total support and emotional dimensions, tips, instrumental and reciprocity. Significant differences between groups, so that the non-offending group showed a larger support network, and higher levels in each of the dimensions of family support and perceived support, compared with the group of offenders.
